Kent Ward, Computer Geek Extraordinaire.

Kent has worked at NASA via Lockheed in the Artificial Intelligence division, he spent his time programming Mars bound robots in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
He has also worked as a Network administrator for Diversified Plastics.
Kent taught Computer Hardware, Networking and Security classes at OTC for over 5 years.

Kent owned Ward Conciliation LLC which merged in 2008 to become IFix Computers Inc. which provides Computer, Network and Security services for individuals and small business.
They specialize in Retail Software Management (Microsoft’s Dynamics Retail Management System), Dental software (Dentrix), and Restaurant software (Dinerware). The business has grown to include specialty services for Medical and backups services.
They also provide web hosting and web site creation through Ward Wide Web.

Kent is the author of “The Novice Guide to Optimizing and Tweaking Every PC”.

He has given many lectures and Q&A events at user groups covering both Windows and Linux issues and has been interviewed by KOLR 10 and various trade magazines for his various expertise.

Kent created the web site “TheWeeklyGeek.com”, a site for novice and intermediate computer users who just need information about computers and has his articles published in various publications.

He was a regular technology Q and A writer for the “Christian County News Journal” and “Prime Time News” and writer for several other papers and journals such as “CompuNotes.com”.

Kent is a CompTIA A+ certified technician and a Certified SonicWall Security Administrator.

He was formerly Vice President of Finance for the Deer Park Texas JTPA, Sergeant at Arms for the Dickenson Texas Rotary and an Ambassador for them to Uganda Africa in 1998 where he served as a short term missionary.

He has also served as President of Southwest Business Networking and the Marshfield Shooting Club.
